Kitchen counter work — food preparation, reading recipes, checking fine details — requires more light than the ceiling fixture provides. The ceiling light is positioned to illuminate the room, not the counter surface specifically. Under-cabinet LED lights close this gap: positioned directly above the work surface, they eliminate the shadows that ceiling lights cast behind standing occupants and dramatically improve counter-level visibility for practical kitchen work.

Installation Note

These fixtures require hardwired installation (not plug-in). The on/off switch on the fixture face allows manual control without returning to the wall switch. Linkable connection uses the included jumper cable — connect multiple fixtures end-to-end from a single power feed, reducing electrical rough-in to one connection point per counter run.
