Ceiling Lighting That Doesn't Require Dropping the Ceiling

Recessed panels need ceiling cavity depth and junction box access. Flush mount ceiling lights don't. They sit flat against a solid ceiling surface — plaster, drywall, or plank — making them the correct specification for rooms without drop ceilings, older construction without hollow ceilings, and any space where recessed installation isn't practical or desired.
