Our 2x2 LED panel fixtures are built for exactly this challenge: consistent, low-glare illumination across offices, schools, medical facilities, and retail spaces, without the maintenance headaches of legacy fluorescent systems.

Back-Lit vs. Edge-Lit: Choosing the Right Technology

Both designs fit standard T-grid drop ceiling grids, but they perform differently in practice.

Back-Lit Panels

LED arrays positioned directly behind the diffuser panel
Stronger, more uniform light output across the full surface
Better lumen delivery for spaces that need high light levels
Slightly thicker profile than edge-lit alternatives

Edge-Lit Panels

LEDs along the fixture perimeter, light guided through acrylic
Ultra-slim architectural profile for premium ceiling aesthetics
Soft, diffused light well-suited to offices and hospitality
Lower overall lumen output than back-lit equivalents

Selectable Wattage and CCT — One Fixture, Multiple Options

Many of our 2x2 panels include back-of-panel selector switches that allow installers to choose lumen output and color temperature during installation. This eliminates the need to stock multiple SKUs for different project requirements — one fixture covers a range of specifications.

Typical selectable ranges include 20W to 50W wattage and color temperatures spanning 3000K to 6500K. Motion sensor and emergency battery backup variants extend the lineup for safety-critical applications.

Certifications and Commercial Compliance

Our 2x2 LED panel fixtures carry ETL and DLC certifications, making them eligible for utility rebate programs and meeting the compliance requirements of institutional procurement specifications. 0–10V dimming is supported across most models.
